Discover how to take the lead into your own hands for a Naturally Healthy Pet
We believe that there have been too many lives lost, and pets suffering, at the hands of greed and misinformation. The companies that make these products have protected themselves with warning labels. The Veterinarians that prescribe these poisons are turning a blind eye to the warnings, and watching our pets suffer the side effects. Don’t let your vet poison your pet. Your pet is counting on you to do the research and learn the simple and natural ways to protect them. This will keep them healthy and happy. Whenever a doctor cannot do good, they must be kept from doing harm. Find a veterinarian that wants you to have a naturally healthy pet!
This is our baby and the innocent soul that was harmed by the topical flea/tick treatment our veterinarian recommended.
This picture was taken years before our nightmare started. We now know that some of these poisons kill with one treatment, while other times it takes years to build up in the system while doing damage. Don’t let your vet poison your pet!
Lily was diagnosed with Optic Neuritis and Encephalitis. She has lesions on her left brain stem, and is blind in her left eye.
I was lucky enough to have an honest neurologist, who told me it was from the flea/tick medication I was using. This is not the case with many pet parents who are told it couldn’t be the medications because they are safe. Lily is here to show you, they are not safe, they
This is Lily after months of chemotherapy and high doses of prednisone.
This was the protocol recommended to kill out her immune system, because it was attacking itself. She became overweight, depressed, and lost her beautiful smile. We knew it was time to stop the treatments and find a holistic doctor, to either make her better or we would lose her. After many nights of crying, and many days of r
The first thing we changed, to start Lily’s road to recovery, was her diet. There are many ways to get fresh, healthy food in your dogs bowl, no matter your budget. Your vet will be against a fresh diet, and that should raise a red flag in your mind. We live in a world of greed, and you have the right to question the intentions of your doctors. Nobody loves your pet like you do. You are their best
After three years of fighting for her right to be happy and healthy, Lily finally has her smile back. It’s been a long road. We are grateful to still have her with us, when so many have lost their lives to these poisons. She has her good and bad days, but she’s come so far. The neurological damage is done and can’t be reversed, so she is still blind in one eye and has uncontrollable movements at t
This is our pack of naturally healthy pets. They all love their fresh food, and the natural path we have found. We have experienced the dark side of the animal industry, and we are here to help you experience the naturally healthy side.
We owe it to our pets to keep them safe and healthy during their short time on earth. I hope you join us on this amazing journey to a happy and naturally healthy li
If you’re like me, you probably listened and followed everything your veterinarian prescribed without researching first. And why wouldn’t you? This person went to school for a very long time and paid a lot of money for the information they were taught. I believe the problem lies in dated science and curriculums that were designed by companies that monetize our pets. I do believe western medication has its place. I also believe we should use a holistic approach first and not cover the problem with dangerous medications. Over-vaccination and poor nutrition are the main reasons for our pet’s decline in the last twenty years. One would think that the professionals would start wondering why they aren’t seeing animals get better with the protocols they are using. The food they are recommending is not species appropriate nor is it healing the illness they were diagnosed with. Our animals are innocent and look to us for care and safety. When I found out this industry was compromised, I found myself having to research everything I had been taught in order to learn how best to keep my pets healthy and happy. I encourage you to learn about each vaccine and if the risk of side effects outweigh the reward. I encourage you to learn about food, and how it can help heal your dogs body and soul. Please do not let your veterinarian bully you into something you don’t feel comfortable doing. You have the right to research and find what works best for your pet. A responsible veterinarian should respect your decision. I would also like to add that each vaccine comes with a warning label stating to only be given to a healthy pet. If your pet has already been compromised by a vaccine, or has any health issues, they should not receive another vaccine of any sort. Vaccines cause an inflammatory response in the body, and unhealthy pets will respond in a way that is more harmful to them than what the vaccine was intended for to begin with. Research is key and being vigilant will keep your pet naturally healthy.
You can search for a trustworthy veterinarian at AHVMA.org
You can also type holistic or integrative veterinarian in your search engine to find doctors in your area that might not be on the ahvma.org website. Please be aware that some holistic/integrative veterinarians have been known to recommend questionable products that are not all natural. If this happens to you, don’t be alarmed.
Do your own research. If the product is something you don’t want to use, simply make it known to them that you are only interested in recommendations that are of holistic nature. I’m sure there are products out there that are of lesser evil in western medicine, but there are products that are natural and do just as good, if not better. You may have to take a few steps forward and then a few steps back. If you have tried holistic or homeopathic treatment and your pet is suffering, then by all means go back to western medicine for some relief, but keep up with your holistic approach and you will eventually start seeing improvement.
This may be where you need to seek out an integrated veterinarian. Once your pet is in a downward spiral with serious illness, it’s going to take a multi layered approach to get your pet going in the right direction. Do not be discouraged if it takes a while to get your pet’s health under control. It has taken many years of bad food, over vaccination and toxic chemicals to break down the immune system and let disease set in. The body is designed to heal itself and we have to give it the tools, but we can’t take away the tools it already has. Antibiotics are over prescribed and kill the good gut microbiome, which in itself causes a world of problems. Most of your immune system is in the gut for animals and humans alike.
If you can’t find an open minded vet, then it is up to you to learn what your pet needs and have a conversation with your vet. Having a pet is expensive, and you want your pet to have the best chance at a healthy life. You may want to make an appointment with a new vet, just to interview them, and see if you will be able to work together for the wellness of your pet. This is best suited for when your pet is not having an emergency so that you don’t feel pressured to use a treatment you don’t feel comfortable with. As with human doctors and veterinarians alike, never put your total trust in these doctors. They are running a business, and sometimes the stress of running a business leads to the easiest route. Life has never been easy or cheap, but putting in the research will keep you from going down the wrong path and ending up with more vet bills. Research well, research often!
This is a list of vets that have great advice, and have your pet’s best interest at heart.
I’m sure there are more out there, but this is what I have come across thus far. Many of these vets have podcasts, instagram, facebook, and their own websites with great information and products you can buy. I have listened to countless podcasts from many of them. Sometimes they have new guests on who will help lead you to new products and people to follow. If you can’t find a holistic or integrated vet in your area, there are plenty that you can contact online. You can work with them and a traditional vet in your area. Your traditional vet will do the bloodwork or testing that the holistic vet recommends, and you can let each know that you’re all working together for the wellness of your pet. Research well, research often!

Never let a veterinarian tell you that your pet needs to be on a “prescription” diet that you can only get from them, or get from a pet store with a written prescription from them. These foods are low quality, with no medication in them whatsoever. They are overpriced, carb heavy kibble that will lead your pet down the wrong path. In fact, they won’t recover from whatever the diagnosis was, and will most likely end up with a new illness due to the lack of nutrients they are not getting from the kibble or canned food. If a veterinarian tells you to get off of kibble and switch to a raw or fresh diet, then you have found a hidden gem. I understand kibble is easy and cheap, but in the long run you will be paying out money to the vet you could have spent on fresh food. Fresh food is a must for a healthy, thriving pet. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing, like most will say. If you must feed kibble, you need to find the best ingredients and rehydrate with water or onion free broth. It’s also beneficial to cut back on the amount of kibble given and put fresh food in the bowl. Listed below are companies that are using responsibly sourced meats and ingredients (some are ready to serve, for easy clean up). If you’re like me and love to cook/bake, then homemade food can be rewarding for you and your pets. It is crucial that you learn how to read the labels on the products you are interested in using. A lot of the websites I am recommending will help you learn how to become confident in reading labels. I know we are all feeling financial strain in today’s economy. Do the best you can, until you can do better. I know, in our household, we have had to cut back on a few luxuries that were hard to do without, but not impossible. We may add them back into our lifestyle in the future, but seeing our dogs grow healthy, and happy to eat their food, was worth the trade. Not to mention, we don’t have to see the vet as much, other than for yearly checkups! I know we all live busy lives. Sometimes it seems there’s not enough time in each day. Take time each day to do something your pet enjoys. They most likely have been waiting for you to get home and spend some time with them. Go for that walk, even if it’s not long. Play with the toys they have strung all over the floor. Brushing their teeth and their fur is a good way to get some hygiene time in. They might not like it at first, but when they know they get to spend time with you, it will become a special time for them. My dogs love to have their teeth brushed with coconut oil. We have made the switch to Peanut butter made with Valencia peanuts.
Make sure you do your research on Valencia peanuts to find out why!
Don’t forget about your local butcher shops and local farms. They usually have better grade meats at affordable prices. These are great places to find your organ meats.
If you have numerous pets like me you may want to invest in a membership club like Costco, Sam's or Bj’s wholesale club. These clubs have great prices on healthy food for both you and your pet to enjoy.
